Two Holidays, One Island

There are many islands in the world, and they all offer their own unique holiday experiences. However, very few of these islands offer a variety of different kinds of vacation options. Usually, they are secluded, featuring beaches and hotels and not much more. Or, they are full of busy cities, packed full of tourist traps. When booking your island holiday, you may feel like you can’t find a destination that strikes some kind of balance. Many of us travel with a partner, if not a group. This means you have several different individuals with different preferences, which  makes it hard to find the ultimate destination. However, with a Tenerife holiday, you can have a little bit of everything.

There are two major types of holidays popular amongst tourists. Although some individuals often want a little bit of both worlds, the majority land in one category or the other. The first is an adventurous vacation, whether that means hiking and water sports, or just sight seeing around the city and discovering different locations. The second is a relaxing holiday, pretty much revolving around time spent on the beach lounging, and quiet meals in restaurants or cafes. No matter your preference, or if you fall somewhere in the middle, Tenerife can deliver.

Those seeking adventure and thrills will love this island. Fantastic water conditions mean water sports are thriving. Parks, mountains, and other various terrain is great for hikes, and outdoor activities. The towns scattered around the island make for plenty of chances to explore. Find hidden cafes down quaint back streets, or experience the culture of a festival or outdoor market. If you on the island around February, you can’t miss the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This is one of the largest in the world. Think Rio in Brazil, complete with costumes, music, and fun. This parade and festivities lasts over a week, and brings in tourists from all over the world.

On the other hand, those looking to lounge on picturesque beaches won’t be disappointed, as with all holidays to Canary Islands, Tenerife is the ideal, tranquil island destination. Whether you stick to the most popular beaches on the island, enjoying beachside bars and cool drinks, or find a secluded island, you can have it all. A variety of restaurants, cafes, and hotel room service means you can have the stress free holiday you’ve been waiting for. Escape the boring routine of every day life, and busy cities, and spend your getaway on Tenerife.
